Be aware of scammers!!
It has come to our attention that a number of job seekers have been targeted by scammers claiming to be hiring on behalf of WiserCare. They conduct interviews over the phone/videoconference and send forged offer letters. They may be attempting to get your confidential information including financial or banking information. Do not provide sensitive information to anyone claiming to be from WiserCare unless you have confirmed his/her identity with us first. You may contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org or (310) 957-2077. We have not authorized anyone to hire on our behalf and you should only communicate with someone emailing you from an @wisercare.com email address.
In addition to protecting yourself, we encourage you to help protect others by reporting scams to the appropriate authorities. The FBI has a cyber crimes unit https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/cyber which you can call directly, or file a complaint at: https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx.
You can also file a complaint at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/. Your state and local governments may have other cyber-crimes units as well.
