Director/Senior Manager, Clinical Strategy and Product Implementation

Job Summary

This is a critical role for a motivated, independent individual that encompasses two areas:

Clinical strategy You will help our clinical team design and implement new patient-facing decision modules, drawing on your clinical knowledge. You will work with internal and external clinical experts to research a condition, identify critical factors patients use to make decisions, and understand how to model the implications of the clinical evidence related to these factors. Based on this you will work with the WiserCare team and external customers to identify new feature needs, design and build decision modules using WiserCare’s module authoring tools.

Program implementation You will be a lead implementer of WiserCare programs, working with key customers, in a clinical and/or population health setting. As a leader on our implementation team, you will work with customers to set program goals; design clinical workflows and reporting; train doctors, nurses, and staff to use WiserCare tools; monitor progress and troubleshoot obstacles; and drive expansion. In addition to being critical to our customer’s success, this role also helps gain valuable insights into what support our customers most need to  achieve outcomes that matter. This role requires a proactive, curious, and success-oriented individual, who can own client relationships while enlisting the help and expertise of the broader WiserCare team when needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience using EMRs in clinical practice (Epic experience preferred)

  • EMR workflow construction

  • Ability to articulate clinical concepts to non-clinical team-members (e.g. software engineers)

  • ‘Ownership’ mentality and ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to summarize, abstract and analyze published literature on a variety of clinical conditions (primarily adult)

  • Experience interpreting, analyzing and combining biostatistics (such as odds ratios, relative risk, raw risk)

  • Experience designing written patient-facing communication materials, with elements of patient readability

  • Experience creating human-centered workflows, with necessary adaptation and scripting as needed

  • At least 3 years experience working with healthcare IT (5 years preferred), such as EMR-related or patient-facing healthcare technology implementation experience. This need not be the sole work experience for this period.

  • Previous direct patient care experience, preferably outpatient

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Ability to work in the US

  • Preferred: San Francisco, Seattle, LA, but other locations possible

  • Remote: Ability to work remotely, with a strong remote work history
